Well, I know its been uber long since I have blogged..I kinda got out of it. I guess I got wrapped up in life. I have been trying to not say no to any oppertunity. I have had some awesome times this summer and fall!

After a few failed relationships in that period of time I am kinda toning things down again this winter. Each boy that was a part of the past 6 months made me grow a lot. But, I am really wanting to just meet a nice boy. With that being said, I need to be attracted to him too. My friend Aundrea has introduced me to a few nice boys, but I feel nothing for them. They were shorter than I am and for some reason thats a HUGE no no for me. I also thought I would never be involved with someone that has kids. One boy opened my eyes to thats not such a bad thing. I actually enjoyed it. It turns out he wasn't ready for a serious relationship yet, so that ship sailed and is over.

Boys are one thing, but lately I have felt like I am also lacking in the friend department. My best friends are in relationships and are not into hanging out with little ol' me much anymore. A lot of the people I used to spend time with have moved away. That is kinda of sad, but in a way there are a lot of people that were not the best friends for me, I just hung out with them because they were here. I do think that my friends right now are quality friends, but they have their own lives and it is hard to be the single one sometimes.

I have been really happy for the past couple months, and it could have been the boys made me feel attractive, and wanted, and important, and special. But the past couple days I have been kind of a Debbie Downer again. I dont like being like this, but I am tired of life not being lived to the fullest I guess. I know there is something more..and I want it!!! Now!! haha

Ok, well I suppose thats enough for one night. I will be back one of these days..

So..I am coming off a 5 day stretch at work. I love being a nurse, but somtimes its soo draining. Physically and mentally. It was a really good weekend, but its so nice to have a day off!

I'm catching up on my online followings...one of them being Kellys Korner..She was talking about baby names..I couldn't resist thinking about it :)

I had a day off yesterday..thank goodness...I needed it! I had to stop at work for a quick health assessment for my 4 year anniversary at MGMC..i also got the T Dap shot. Last night I grabbed a drink with my buddy Scott at Old Chicago where I ended up joining the World Beer Tour and got through half of my first Cinco de Mayo tour! whoot whoot! He just tricked out his car so we took a spin around town in that...it was so fun! We ended up in North Ames at Brewers--a awesome little bar. I of course had to have a martini ther--make that the Appletini! yumyumyum!!

Today I had to work 9-19..a nice 10 hour shift. I adore my co-workers! They are truly awesome! But....remember that shot I got yesterday...its making me super achey and sore..I feel like death! I just wanna cry! I called my dad, my sister, and then later my mom just to complain..as if that would make me feel better! omg...it hurts so much! I am gonna call it a night..and pray that sleep and thunderstorms tonight make me a better Karoline tomorrw!

Sunday, I went to my sister's house for a Lia Sophea jewelry party. It was alright. But it was super fun to hang with my sis and mom. A couple of my sisters friends came-one has twin babies-Case and Cale. I played with Cale for most of the day--shes a sweetheart!

My dad, brother, and brother in law were also there--putting up a chain link fence for my nephew Collin to run around in! I'm sad to say its not Winston proof tho! It was used, so it doesnt sit right and Winston could easily sneak under it.

I'm having a kinda down in the dumps day again. I dont really know why. It's not nearly as bad as it was earlier in the year tho. I kinda feel like there's no one to to talk to today. I go into work at 3, so I know things will get better then. So, the other night I talked to Adam about meeting up in Kansas City next weekend when he's there. He said it just won't work. I'm pretty bummed about that. I need to cut back spending time on him again. It just sucks. I need to move on. I don't know what kind of spell he has over me. I tried talkin to Abby about it, I sent her an email and never heard back. We havn't been talking much lately, Abby and I. Her and Brad were here the other weekend and that was AMAZING! But, I didn't go to Lori's (my high school friend) wedding, because I got sick that morning. So, I felt yucky and guilty all Saturday, then Ab and Brad left early Sunday. Brad and Abby have been looking for a new place to rent so they can save some money, and I know thats why she hasn't been calling or talking to me, but these past few days I really needed a friend to talk to.
My day should be getting better. I had CMT on, and Eric Church's Cribs was on. hehe. I love that :) I have to work 3-11, I hope it is a fabulous night. The past 3 days have been unGodly busy..so Im keepin my fingers crossed for a good one! Isuppose I better go finish gettin ready.
Im kinda excited to head home tomorrow (my only day off in a week) My sis is having a jewelry party, but I need to get away from my place..from Ames..from work and my bed..haha

My Friday Night...

This weekend was VIESHEA, and David, Abby, and Brad came to Ames to celebrate and see me! I was uber excited! Friday, David got here and we grabbed a bite to eat then headed to Main street! David had never been out there and I'm not sure that he liked it. But, I had a blast. Sometimes you gotta take care of yourself..right?! While we were there, Ab and Brad got to town and joined us! I got pretty drunk..so drunk that I blacked out..oops! Good thing I was with the people that would take care of me the most!! Enjoy these pics! hehe

David and I went to the movie Kick-Ass this afternoon before he took off back to Sioux City..I had NO idea it was rated R..haha..I thought it was gonna be a silly teen movie.

I new it was gonna be slightly different when in the first like 5 mins they were talkin about masterbation..haha. There was a lot of gore in it too..theres a lot more killing than I was anticipating..i really wasn't expecting any. But the movie had me rolling laughing!

I reccomend it!

Well.....I can die happy. I finally saw Reba McIntire in concert! It was amazing! I dont think that I took my eyes off of her the entire time she was on stage! AND--get this! She wasn't even the main act!!!!

LeeAnn Womcak opened for Reba. I wasn't too excited for her. I kinda thought she was a snooty lady. BUT, I have totally changed my mind! She has a beautiful voice and really wow'd me!

And, heres Reba! AMAZING. Thats all I can say!
Reba sings a song called I want a Cowboy written by Katrina Elam. I've known it for a couple years, and its now on Reba's newst CD. During the song they flashed different cowboys on the big screen. One happend to be Kevin Costner from the Dances with Wolves era. I was on cloud nine!!

My birthday was on Sunday, but I had to work Saturday, Sunday, AND Monday! So, Tuesday night my friends had a little get together for me at Karaoke night at Westtowne Pub. Cousin Weekend

So, the other weekend I went to Des Moines to spend time with my cousins! I used to live with Ashley and Drew before they were married and when they had their daughter Ellie. So I met Annie and Brett there, then my cousin Ben and his wife Christina came over too. We had such a blast! Drew brews beer and had some of his home brews ready for us to drink. He made homemade pizza--which is amazing! I needed that weekend to reconnect with family! We arnt necessairly people who would be friends other than being family, but for that, I am soooo greatful for them! They are all amazing!

I think I remember at one point of the night, me ash ann and christina were locked in the bathroom and I cried and they reminded me how lucky I am and I always have them :) it was awesome!

Well...Eric Church did not disappoint ((like i was worried! heck no))!

He was AMAZING as usual! He has a way about him that just makes you adore him. When he sings, he has such emotion. He writes his own music, and to me that makes him that much more fantastic!!

This concert was a tad different than his last ones..what I mean is that everyone knew all his songs this time. I pride myself on being one of the truest Eric Church fans. In the past, Abby and I were about the only ones that could sing every song word for word. And might I remind you, his guitar guy took notice a the last one--the one where he took our camara and took our picture. He also saw us wondering what was attached to his mic stand and he told us to watch and it was a noise maker thing..haha

This concert however, almost everyone knew all his songs..but I was in pure bliss! We got to ValAire about 2 hours before the doors opened, I wanted to be in the front row! We got in and were in the second row for most of the conert, but alas we made it to the front! :) Like I doubted we would!? Josh Thompson, who sings Beer on the Table was the opening act..he impressed me!

Our beloved secratary Jan retired last week..St. Pattys Day to be exact..I am going to miss her sooooo much! Over the last 4 years, I spent the first 2 being scared of her. Then, when I moved to day shift, I had no idea why I was so intimidated by her! She is the one of the best, funniest, smartest, most beautiful people I know! Our floor can joke a lot..and we tend to be kinda dirty jokers..but Jan..oh she never misses a beat! I cannot express how much I will miss her! Im sooooo blessed for knowing her!

I LOVE LOVE LOVE St. Patrick's Day..

If I were a good catholic it wouldn't be because of the green beer, it would be because we celebrate a saint who taught about the Holy Trinity using a 3 leaf clover and for being a patron saint of Ireland. But, because I am me..I love wearing green or being pinched. I love the green beer. I love the festivities of it all!

Happy 21st Birthday Samantha!!

Last night I went to the bar to help my buddy Sam ring in her 21st year in style! We had such a gooooood time! We had a bunch of friends from work join us!

Seattle..

It's been rainy and gloomy looking here..but I love it! It makes me think of being in Washington. I started watching the movie Love Happens. It is set in Seattle. I have this huge want to go back now! I even ate Clam Chowder for lunch! hehe

There is something about the Pudgent Sound that is beautiful and peaceful. You could just see Free Willy swiming and jumping! haha! I loved being near the water. I loved the bright colors of the Public Market. I love being on the ferry.
Too bad I wasn't into the Twilight series yet when Abby lived there. We could have traveled to Forks. Haha.

One of the nurses I work with lived in Seattle for a while and we always talk about loving it there. Next time I go, I want to go whale watching. :) That will be a goooood day!

Im not sure what kind of day I'm having today. I kinda feel like I have a heavy heart for some reason. I've been trying to talk to Abby today but she must be busy. We havn't gotten much talking accomplished today..or lately.

Tonight a bunch of us are going to take my friend Samantha out for her 21st birthday! It should be a really good time!! I am excited for that. I just hope I'm not a Debbie Downer...
