This weekend my best friends came to town!!!!!!!!!!!

We had such a good time!! David got here Thursday and spent time with a friend while I worked, then he came over Friday when he had got up. We spent forever just talking and caching up inthe last 4 months!! David lived with Abby and I, then in Jan when we moved out, he moved home but spent every weekend staying with me until he got a job! So, we hadnt seen him since March I think!!

We went to the Star Trek movie at the dollar thatre--I actually really really liked it! I didnt expect to, I just went because it was a dollar and we had nothing better to do!

Abby and Brad (who flew in from Germany Friday after spending 2 weeks there) wouldnt be coming till after 11, becase of Brads trip abroad! So after the movie Davido and I went to check into the hotel and got cought up watching The Dark Knight on TV. That was another movie I had not seen and was plesently surprised! It was definatly dark, but all in all a good movie!

After the movie, we came home to order pizza and keen Winston company!

Abby and Brad got here about 11:30 and Winston and Fozzie got to play..or rather Fozzie tried to play and Winston got mad that he was on his terf!

We had a few drinks, but kept it mild Friday night, we went back to the hotel and hung out and went to sleeeeeeep.

Saturday morning we got up and had some Casey's breakfast pizza and Choc milk--a Kari and Abby staple! Then it was HOT TUB TIME! It was hot! haha! But tons of fun..we didnt stay in it long, then we showered and got ready for the day--we went the the Memorial Union and went bowling!! It was sooo ghetto! hahaah..the lanes were warped and not all 10 pins stood up wen they were reset! haha We had a blast! We got control of the Juke Box..played some awesome songs..made a fool out of ourselves bowling..it was great!

Later that night we headed to Okoboji Grill for supper--my favorite! We had a bunch of drinks there--David started singing German songs...haha who does that....gotta love him! He also, in his drunken glory, came up with nick names for Abby and I-- I am cap'n cruch and abby is booberry. Who knows what goes through that boys head!

Us 4 had not been to the Welch area bars in a while, so we had a great time at Es Tas-- Davids friend Pat joined us (and his cousin i think) They were some fun boys! We stopped at Cy's cuz Brad used to work there. While we were there I ran into Ryan Williams-- the Schleismans cousin that I drank with and had a blast with at Alex's wedding!! So, that was cool!

Then we ended the night at Outlaws! It was so fun!

This morning, Abby and Brad and David all took off shortly after 11 am...now I am sad and lonely :(. I hate that sinking feeling...I dont know when I will see them next. I think David and I will try to make a trip to Chicago in October!

So, I have to talk about my new favorite CD! Sugarland's Live On The Inside! Its great! Its some of their favorite songs to perform live--theirs and covers! Its great! They do everything from Loveshack to Sex on Fire by Kings of Leon! They are soo entertaining!

I remember when they first came out, I was thrown off by Jennifer Nettles voice, but now I LOVE it!

They are so adorable too!!!!!

Its been a while...

So, an update--Krista is recovering well and is now home from the hospital. She will have to be careful while her liver and pelvis heals, and has to use crutches for the time being..but all in all shes much better! The twins were making good progress, then decided to stop eating, so they are still in the hospital, but are able to be held by their parents which is happy news!

Andrea's birthday was celebrated in style this month! We went to Stella's in Urbandale! Its this cute retro diner where you get milkshakes poured on your head!!!

Last Wednesday a couple of us checked out Perfect Games in West Ames!( after margaritas and shots) We rocked out the dico bowling!!! Check out our cute shoes!

Saturday we had a Bachlorette Party for one of my closest grade/middle/high school friends- Megan! We started the day off at Glazed Expressions Pottery Painting.

We ate at J.Benjamins (franklin & meral hay) its a hole in the wall resturant! It was delicious!

After that, we went to Blue Moon dueling panios, Cabaret, and Billy Joe's for Karokee! It was a blast!

My old roommates David and Abby (and Ab's bf Brad and their dog Fozzie) are all coming to visit me!! It promises to be a great time!!

Short Sweet and To The Point

I'm asking for you to keep a few people in your prayers today..

My neighbor girl..who is a close family friend was in a car accident yesterday where she was hit in the drivers side by a truck and trailer. She was life flighted to Mercy in Des Moines and is in the PICU (pediatrics intensive care unit). She had a CT done and the brain looks fine, but she has some broken ribs, pelvis broken in 4 places, lots of cuts and scrapes, she has an NG tube in, getting IV fluids and dilauded for the pain, she will wear a neck brace for a while... Shes drowsy and doesnt quite understand what happened..in the little time I was there she pulled at her NG and stitches on her head. She has a long road of healing and recovery ahead!!

Shes a very lucky girl that she is alive!

Also, my sisters best friend Jayme had twins today and they are in the NICU. Please keep them in your prayers too. Hopefully they start breathing better and wont have to be intebated. Also, its very hard on Jayme and Jeff as they cannot hold their new babies..so keep them in your thoughts too!

SO, send up some prayers for Krissy-girl, her family, Jeff, Jayme, and little Cale and Case!

Winston and Fozzie meet!

My best friend Abby got a puppy over the 4th of July. He is the same breed as Winston, he even came from the same breeder!! She named him Fozzie like Fozzie Bear from the Muppets :)

Abby and Brad came home for her Grandma's funeral and so I made the treck home as well to see them! We had a blast! Winston was kind of scared by Fozz..haha. Fozzie was an instigator! He tried to play with the big dogs--a yellow lab and a black lab/dalmation mix! haha
